How do I download the templates?
When you sign-up for Premium Access, you will create a username and password. When you log-in and begin browsing the templates, you will see green and blue download buttons. Blue download buttons are for Photoshop files and green buttons open the template in the free Pixlr online editor. Photoshop files are downloaded as .PSD files that can be opened with Photoshop Elements or Photoshop CS (Creative Suite). Pixlr templates are downloaded as .PXD files and can only be opened online with Pixlr editor. With Pixlr personalize the template, print a copy, or save a copy of the template to your computer for editing later.
What parts of the template can I customize?
With the online editor you can change every aspect of the template. Including the colors of the graphics, wording, fonts, spacing, and move/delete parts of the design.
What if I need help or have a question?
We are here to help you make amazing DIY invitations. We can always be reached via email, thru our contact form, and our step-by-step videos cover most of the common questions when getting started.
How many templates are in the Premium Access Area?
There are currently 108 templates in the premium access area. You can preview all the templates before signing-up. New templates are added each week and you will have access to those designs as they become available.
How do I print the template?
It’s very similar to anything else you’ve printed at home. With Pixlr or Photoshop, select ‘File > Print’. This will bring up the printer window where you select the number of copies to print.
Can I print my invitations at a copy shop or professional printer?
Yes. You can bring the template on a thumb drive or email it to a print shop. Pixlr can save your template as a high-res file (.PNG, .BMP or .TIFF) that most print shops can work with. Photoshop can save your template as a high-res (.PSD or .PDF) file.
What size paper or envelopes do I need?
You only need one size of paper, 8.5 x 11 or A4 for Europeans. Card stock is readily available in this size at most office supply stores and online. After printing your templates, trim along the dotted lines to the finished size. Most of our invitations fit A7, A6, or 4-Bar envelopes. The required envelope size is listed in the description for each template.
Will my finished invitations have the Download & Print logo or copyright on them?
No. When you open and print the template, you will see our logo and copyright information, but they are strategically placed in the part that is trimmed off. Your finished invitation will not have our logo anywhere on it.
Can I tryout a template before I buy Premium Access?
Absolutely! Visit our freebie template area to tryout our free template of the week. Experiment changing the colors, text, and fonts. You can print out copies and see how they look cutout.
