Invitation Template: Pom Pom

Martha Stewart Pom PomsThese Martha Stewart Pom Poms are a favorite party DIY decoration of mine. It’s so simple and inexpensive to create a big splash of color for a party or wedding. The materials are simple: tissue paper, fishing line to hang, staples and scissors. I’ve even used this same technique to make pom pom flowers, by attaching the pom pom to a dowel wrapped in floral tape. Very fun to make!

This invitation template was inspired by Martha’s DIY-lishious Pom-Poms. Download and print this invitation for free, directions are as follows:

How to Make This Pom Pom Invitation

1. Download & Open the template in Microsoft Word
2. Type in your event details
3. Print at home on standard 8.5 x 11 paper
4. Trim along dotted lines to final 5×7  invitation size

The template yields two 5×7 invitations. After you print simply cut along the trim lines to finish. Use a paper cutter for perfectly strait edges. I recommend printing on Classic Crest 80# Cardstock in natural white. This invitation will fit a standard A7 envelope. You can use any font on this wedding invitation, the example above uses Scriptina for the names and Optima for the event details.

Technical Note: You must have Microsoft Word (any edition will do, and it usually comes with the Microsoft Office Suite). The template will NOT work with Microsoft Works, this is the free word processor that ships with Windows. It will work with Word for Mac. Download a 60-day trial of Microsoft Office which includes Microsoft Word.

I absolutely love this one, but then again I love all the invite templates you have provided. I just wanted to say how fantastic it is for you to be doing this.

I already got my invites but I am going to use some of your templates for my drink and dinner menu.

    Thanks!

I LOVE this template, and it’s practically perfect for my shower invitations. Could you maybe make one like this with green and eggplant purple instead of the pink-ish purple? I would really appreciate it :)

I quite sure this one is my very favorite. It makes me want to have a dinner party for no reason at all just so I can use them.
    Thank You!

Hello….i stumbled across this when looking for downloadable wedding invites and first, want to say THANK YOU for providing such templates!!! Coincidentally, I’m also planning to make these Martha Stewart pom poms/luminarias myself as well for my wedding (tho’ i haven’t tried it out yet so not sure how successful they will be?!) but in pastel blue and yellow (my wedding colors).

Thus, I would be super super and forever grateful if you could think of make this pom pom template in blue and yellow perhaps? Sorry for being a pain but would be absolutely awesome if my invitations are in my wedding colors.

thanks alot in any case for the templates!!!=)

I love this design, but I’m with Julie, I need it to be more of an eggplant purple or royal purple. I was going to try and load it into Photoshop like your FAQs suggested in order to change the color myself, but you don’t even offer a photoshop version for me to download. Any other suggestions? Please help!! :) Thanks!!!!
