Did you know that 32% of weddings occur in the fall months of September, October and November? It’s hard to resist the warm colors of golden brown that the landscape provides that time of year. Elizabeth Anne Designs has a whole section of their website dedicated to fall wedding inspiration boards, vendors and tips. Looking at their blog inspired me to create a fall invitation template with a vintage flair.
Make Your Own Fall Wedding Invitations
You can make and print the invitation shown above at home with the template file at the bottom of this post. It’s really easy!
1. Download & Open the template in MS Word
2. Type in your event details
3. Print at home on standard 8.5 x 11 paper
The template yields two 5×7 invitations. After you print simply cut along the trim lines to finish. For a professional look, use a paper cutter to cut out the invitations. This will make clean, perfectly strait edges to the finished invitation.
Make it Fabulous Tips!
Tip #1: Print the invitation on Paper Source’s ‘Curry’ Cover Stock for that warm harvest-gold background. For a simpler look print on cream or ivory card stock. Cover stock in the range of 60-80 pound will pint on almost all home printers without jamming. Heavy paper is key to tricking everyone to think you bought expensive stationery shop invitations (we won’t tell your little secret).
Tip #2: Dark, chocolate brown envelopes would really bring out the fall theme. A7 envelopes are the size your looking for. I recommend Paper Source’s ‘Chocolate’ Envelopes because I love their rounded euro-flap design. You can hand write the addresses with a white paint or gel pen (available in any local craft store).
Tip #3: Fonts used in the template for the script font ‘Brickham’ and for event details ‘Perpetua’ . Download both fonts for free on the invitation fonts page. The font page also has directions on how to install fonts on your PC or MAC.

These are absolutely great! I really love the birds and the magnolia templates. Could you do one similar to the magnolia with hydrangeas instead? Also, once these are printed and cut will they fit into a standard A7 envelope?
Thank you or your kind words about my invitation templates. I could do one like the magnolia with a hydrangea, just let me know if you want the same colors? (brown flower and harvest gold background) Or I could do different colors? let me know and I will post the template file ASAP.
Yes all the templates will fit an A7 envelope. Also I’m adding new template every weekday! Come back and let me know what you think of the other designs!
Thanks for writing me!

This is EXACTLY what I have been looking for! I am a mature bride that has always wanted magnolias as a theme. do you have a template for RSVP and for thank you’s for this theme? I have looked EVERYWHERE and found your template. You are a GIVER. thank you thank you thank you
Thank you for your site, what a gift to us budget brides! I love this design, it’s totally what I was looking for. I was just wondering if you could perhaps add a vintage bee? A botanical/bee themed invite would be awesome!
The magnolia invites are perfect! We are having a garden dinner party at our house to celebrate our 20th Anniversary. The stars of our garden are our beloved magnolia trees! I’m so excited. Thank you so much!
Thank you for all these wonderful downloads. I love the magnolia. I was wondering if you could send me it in a 5.25 by 8.25 version. I really want to use them but my invitations are that size. Please. Please. Please. Please.
I love these but are hoping to find something in floral or treelike in a smaller invite size.
This is such beautiful artwork, and the brown is the theme colour of my wedding, which is in two months time. Could you please mail me the file, as I see it is no longer available for download, preferably in word format. Many Thanks
